Fare Restaurant In Art Museum Neighborhood

Philadelphia Real Estate Blog – Fare Restaurant

Deep Pockets checked in today with a raving review of Fare Restaurant, the new eco-conscious restaurant located at 2028 Fairmout Avenue in the Art Museum neighborhood. Fare’s menu is exclusively comprised of organic and locally sourced food and drink and their entire decor is made from recycled and environmentally responsible material.  Now we all that Deep Pockets loves to eat but I’ve never heard him so excited!  He raved about the menu and portion sizes, he bragged about the wait staff being the best in the entire city, he felt the presentation was second to none, and he admitted candidly that the drink menu was so amazing that he may have had one too many.  Clearly the owners of Fare have invested time, energy and attention to detail that few other restaurants in Center City provide.  Fare is perfect if you’re looking for a clean, classy, unique restaurant and would prefer to avoid the gaudiness or ridiculously small portions you find at too many popular dinner spots.  The head chef is Tim Bellew and Fare is open Sun-Thurs: 5-10pm, Fri-Sat: 5-11pm and for brunch: Sat-Sun, 11am-3pm.  Call or email for reservations.

Art Museum Area Neighborhood

The Art Museum Area is a neighborhood in Center City Philadelphia situated just Northwest of Center City and named for its proximity to the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  The Art Museum Area includes the neighborhoods of Fairmount, Brewerytown, Francisville and Spring Garden.  The boundaries of the Art Museum Area are Vine Street to the South, Girard Avenue to the North, the Schuylkill River to the West, and Broad Street to the East.  The name Fairmount derives from the prominent hill on which the Philadelphia Museum of Art sits and where William Penn originally intended to build his home.  The Art Museum Area borders the Benjamin Franklin Parkway and Fairmount Park.
