Philadelphia Real Estate Closing Costs Increase!

Philadelphia Real Estate

Marc Shaw, owner of Worldwide Land Transfer – a local title company, posted a blog post titled, “Philadelphia Records Department Announces Fee Increase“.  Apparently effective February 20th the Philadelphia Records Department will increase Philadelphia Real Estate closing costs despite Pennsylvania’s ranking as the 9th most expensive state in the United States.  The fee increase is apparently small but as Marc notes the City of Philadelphia Transfer Tax is 3% and the State of Pennsylvania Transfer Tax is 1% which already very high.
