First Lady Michelle Obama will speak in Philadelphia next week on behalf of Hillary Clinton.

Her appearance comes hot on the heels of her husband, President Barack Obama’s speech at Eakins Oval. The congenial, well-liked president riffed about football (saying that he is a Chicago Bears fan, but would have to “scout out what all the fuss is about” concerning the Eagles and new starting quarterback Carson Wentz, and spoke about how he got “whupped” in the primaries (by Clinton) in 2008, but how the state “made it up” to him by voting blue in November during the general election. And he had nothing good to say about Clinton’s opponent, Donald Trump:

“I keep reading this analysis that says Trump’s got support for working folks. Really? This is the guy who want to be the champion of working people? The guy who spent 70 years of this earth showing no concern for working people? He’s spent most of his life tying to stay as far away from working people as he could. Huh. He wasn’t going to let you on his golf course. He wasn’t going to let you buy in his condo. And now all of a sudden this guy’s going to be your champion?”

Undoubtedly the First Lady will get in more digs at Trump’s expense.
