If you trust USA Today, which published a list of the most lovey-dovey eateries in each state, Talula’s Garden in Washington Square wins the prize for most romantic. The newspaper worked together with review aggregator Yelp to comb through all the restaurants in each state, looking for reviews that specifically mentioned romance. Pennsylvania’s top hit just so happens to be in the City of Brotherly Love. Talula’s Garden serves “farm fresh American fare” and is fronted by chef Stephen Starr.

Or you could go with one of Uber’s most-requested Valentine’s Day restaurants. The ridesharing monolith released a few details about V-Day trends in Philly. First of all, the most lovers end up at an eatery in Center City, although some stray to South Philly or Spring Garden. Secondly, cost is not an issue when they are treating themselves. All types of cuisine made their way to the Top 10 list, but most-represented were American and Italian fare. Some picks from Uber include Barbuzzo Mediterranean Kitchen & Bar in Center City, Alla Spina in Spring Garden, and Twenty Manning Grill in Rittenhouse Square. The full list is here.

Then there is the PhillyVoice’s list of Valentine’s Day prix-fixe gems around the city. On the list? Baril a French resto in Rittenhouse Square, Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steak House on Chestnut Street, and Russet, which will celebrate its birthday on Valentine’s Day. These three are in addition to several others.
